An Integrated Approach to Family Therapy

This workshop will demonstrate how family systems are structured out of the individual life scripts of the couple and how the therapist can help the family restructure their relationships to achieve a secure base for each member.  Participants will learn information from systems theory, cybernetics, structural, strategic, and redecision therapy to help families change.  The workshop will consist of experiential exercises, theory, family therapy, and personal work.  Participants will have an opportunity to learn how to do family therapy through direct practice with simulated families using video supervision.  Information will also be taught on diagnosing different levels of functioning and appropriate interventions at each level.
